Jordan, Cooper Top Eagles' Inactives

Eagles will be without starting linebacker & tall wideout as they play the Steelers

Linebacker Akeem Jordan and wideout Riley Cooper headlined the Eagles’ inactive list for Sunday’s game at Pittsburgh.

The Eagles ruled out Jordan (hamstring) already on Friday opening the door for Jamar Chaney to start on the weak-side. Cooper was listed as probable but was ruled out as he continues to recover from a preseason collarbone injury.

Rookies DL Vinny Curry, RB Chris Polk and OL Nate Menkin joined veterans G Steve Vallos and QB Trent Edwards on the inactive list.

With Edwards out, Nick Foles is the only backup should starting QB Michael Vick get hurt.

The big inactive news for the Steelers was who was active rather than who wasn’t as star defenders S Troy Polamalu and James Harrison were active.

As for who wasn’t active for Pittsburgh Sunday, RB Jonathan Dwyer topped the list. QB Charlie Batch, T Kelvin Beachum, S Robert Golden, LB Brandon Johnson, LB Adrian Robinson and DT Alameda Ta’amu rounded out the Steelers’ inactives.
