Eagles Owners to File for Divorce

The Philadelphia Eagles officially confirmed reports that its billionaire owners will end their 20-year marriage. On Wednesday, Jeffrey and Christina Lurie announced that they will file for divorce.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the two sent a letter to members of the Eagles organization, stating they “would remain close friends” and “continue to work together as partners.” The letter also stated their split would have no impact on the Eagles.

Jeffrey, 60, and Christina, 52, met in the late 1980s when she was an associate film producer on one of movies. They moved to the Philadelphia area back in 1994 when they bought the Eagles and most recently lived in Wynnewood.

The two have not mentioned a reason for the divorce and have asked the public to respect their privacy.
