Watkins Dresses for 1st Time

The Eagles inactive list was once again headlined by their 2011 draft class as the Eagles took on the Falcons Sunday night in Atlanta.

With one exception -- No. 1 pick OG Danny Watkins dressed after being inactive Week 1. Watkins, who lost his starting offensive line job at the end of the preseason, still likely won’t see much if any action barring any injuries to the starting line.

While Watkins dressed the Eagles No. 2 and No. 3 picks once again took a seat. Temple lost again (that Penn State game was ugly) when Owls alum No. 2 pick S Jaiquawn Jarrett was inactive along with third-round Eagles draft pick CB Curtis Marsh for the second-straight week.

Injuries also played on a role on the inactive list as QB Vince young (hamstring), LB Akeem Jordan (shoulder) and DE Darryl Tapp (pectoral) didn’t dress.

Tapp -- even though he was expected to miss the Falcons game -- will be missed after recording three tackles, two QB hits, a sack and a forced fumble last week in St. Louis. DE Phillip Hunt take Tapp's roster spot after sitting out Week 1.

The rest of the inactives were rookie OL Julian Vandervelde and OL Winston Justice.

The Falcons inactive list was headlined by DT Jonathan Babineaux who hurt his knee last week in Chicago. The rest of Atlanta’s inactives were LB Spencer Adkins, G Mike Johnson, DE Cliff Matthews, C Todd McClure, RB Antoine Smith and DB Darrin Walls.
