Tria will offer a pair of events that will please libation lovers of all sorts.

Cap off your week at Tria Thursday and Friday, as our favorite wine-beer-cheese bar hosts a pair of tasting events that are sure to warm you up from the cold.

First, stop by 12th and Spruce streets Thursday evening, for an event with Tom Baker, acclaimed local brewer and owner of Earth Bread + Brewery, a new Mount Airy restaurant that’s getting a fair deal of positive press. Baker will bring along few of his creative brews for a special tasting event. Just $2.50 will get you a 6 oz. glass of Gruit Ale, Finnish Sahti or smoked wheat beer.

Baker will hang out at Tria from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., but the bar will have special pricing from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

On Friday, come back and drink away memories of the Longest Week Ever (doesn’t the first week back after the holidays always feel that way?) for Tria’s “Sipping on the Edge” wine event. Wine expert Seth Biederman will bring along some Italian wines that’ll have you asking: Pinot Grigio—who needs it?

Biederman will be at Tria from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., but just like the beer event of the previous day, pricing specials will last from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  • ABJKD Thursday, Jan 8 at 12:17 AM FLAG COMMENT josepth josh is right there is a big difference between linking to an website and stealing its photos.
  • no way jose Thursday, Jan 8 at 12:05 AM FLAG COMMENT Joseph, media outlets are cutting employees like crazy. There is no way in heck that reporters at NBC-10 have assistants. I'd bet a lot of $ on it.
  • Joseph Ulrich Wednesday, Jan 7 at 4:40 PM FLAG COMMENT Josh, I completely agree with you. However, at the point where there is a link to Tria's website in the article, then how hard is it to get permission from the owner to use the photo from the webpage? No, it's not the end of the world; that's why reporters have assistants, right? Cheers!
