On the road to monogamy, we are all going in the same direction, but exit at different times in our lives. Some are lucky and reach their destination without any major bumps in the road, while others just settle and get off early. One thing’s for sure, never look into your rear view mirror and allow your previous trips to become your guide. There are those whose ride feels endless, paying hefty tolls along the way. It could be an indication that your internal GPS is on the fritz leading you to aimlessly drive down the wrong path. Perhaps it's that we try to merge back in the right lane after a bad decision made a few exits back, or you were led to nothing more than a fork in the road and you’re struggling to keep up with a much faster pace than the last time you went cruising.
Whatever the road block, it's these bumps in the highway that ultimately force you to take a slight detour, delaying your drive time once again. Things can go flat, leaving you alone and stranded on some back road in the boonies! And there’s no where to turn without a relationship compass to help you get you back on track. You might have to wait awhile until things can be patched up and you’re finally able to switch gears re-starting the excursion from square one.
