Who let the dogs out... and put them on the grill next to the burgers? That would be Doghouse Burgers, a new build-your-own burger joint that opens today in Downington overlooking the Brandywine River.
The menu is concise, pick from one of the burgers--a basic Angus, a turkey, or, if you're a more organic/local/farm-to-table type, a grass-fed beef burger from Malvern's Crum Creek Farm--then top it with one of the gourmet toppings like applewood bacon, Vermont cheddar or caramelized onions. They also serve a portobello burger for vegans and a Taylor pork roll for... the opposite of vegans.
Of course, there are also dogs to dine on-- an all-beef hot dog and, for dessert, homemade devil dogs. Both of which are undoubtedly doggone delicious.
