Fall is here, and cooler temps mean the end of barbecuing season is near. But no matter the weather, you still need to get your fresh-grilled burger fix. And we’re here to help. Check out the list below, so that when the craving strikes, you know you'll be satisfied.

Phillymag’s chosen Rouge’s signature burger as the meat to beat for 10 years running. And they’ve got a reason to do so—there’s not much better than a burger with melty gruyere cheese and sweet onions on a buttery challah roll. Except maybe enjoying said burger on Rittenhouse Square.

It might be just a few blocks from cheese steak row, but natives in search of a quality beef sandwich go to Royal Tavern for their burger. Time and again, online reviewers refer to Royal Tavern’s offering as the most addictive burger to be found in our city. Think bacon, caramelized onions, smoked gouda and chili mayo. Yum.

We’re suckers for a hearty burger roll, and that’s just what Standard Tap’s Standard Burger delivers. Oh, and for those of you who are twice as hungry: The Tap also offers a “Double Standard.” Pair either one with any of the beers on tap, and you’ve got yourself a winning combination.

Around Town pick: Good Dog
224 S. 15th St.: Their Roquefort-stuffed masterpiece is the perfect combination of flavors, served up on a thick, but not too intense, brioche roll. The Good Dog burger may not have made any best-of lists this time around, but—in our eyes, at least—a best Philly burger list wouldn’t be complete without a mention of this gem of a sandwich. Good Dog succeeds where plenty of other restaurants have failed
