Ladies, want to do your part in helping the environment? The answer might be inside your closet.

If you have a favorite dress that you wore to prom or to a wedding, don't throw it away thinking you’re never going to wear it again. There's a way to fashion it into a brand new style you can wear much more often.

Give your vintage dress that is hiding in the back of your closet a second chance through recycling--You’ll be doing the environment and your pocket a favor.

Best Friends Boutique (26 Main Street, Phoenixville, Pa.) will have a sale Friday, July 3 on recycled dresses from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Plus, everything in the store will be 10 to 40 percent off.

Nicole Kulp, Recycle My Dress designer, will also be there to showcase her eco-friendly dresses and talk to customers who want to rework their dresses, too.

“Every one of my recycled dresses is original, sustainable and has a story behind it,” said Kulp on her Web site.

Kulp started Recycle My Dress back in 2006. She came up with the idea, as her bridesmaid dresses sat dormant in her closet for years. She didn’t want to throw them away and thought of unique ways to reuse the fabric.

At the event, there will be free food, drinks and live music, so ladies--Grab your girls for an evening of affordable dress shopping and fun.
