BEFORE JACK WENT NUTS: Stop by the Ritz East for the Philadelphia Film Society's screening of the classic film "Chinatown." Roman Polanski’s 1974 film stars Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway in tale about a P.I. investigating murder and corruption. After the film, WHYY’s Bill Wine will hold a brief discussion and the conversation will continue at the Triumph Brewery for drinks. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show are $9 for general admission, $8 for students and $6 for Philadelphia Film Society's members.

WASTED ON WII: Drinking and playing sports -- while sometimes fun -- usually ends with someone in pain. But Lucy’s in Old City solved this problem with their Wii Wednesdays. Drinking up with 2.50 well drinks and $1 Bud Light drafts until midnight. Plus $3 Jager Shots, $3 Tuaca Shots and $6 Jager Bombs will help you get your game on. For more information, call 215.413.1433.

KING WITHOUT A CASTLE: Blending Orthodox Judaism and classic reggae, Matisyahu really is one of a kind. His live album, "Live at Stubbs," sold nearly 700,000 copies and is certified gold. Born locally in West Chester, Matisyahu plays at the Electric Factory at 8 p.m. with Umphreys McGee. Tickets cost $28.50.
