GOO: Eighties grunge/art rock legends Sonic Youth will bring the noise to the Electric Factory. Releasing 16 albums since 1982, Sonic Youth has influenced many current artists and continues the innovative sound heard first during the 80s. Tickets are $25 and can be bought online at the Ticketmaster website.

EAGLE MOUNT DRIVE: Philly locals Valencia return home to play the Trocadero with other alternative/pop rock bands Cash Cash, Every Avenue and Phone Calls From Home. With tickets at $11, there is no reason to miss this show. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the fun starts at 6:30 p.m. For tickets, head to the Ticketmaster Web site.

COFFEE AND COVERS: Head down to Old City Coffee and enjoy classic folk/blues/country/roots music with Josh and Friends. The band will cover songs from The Byrds, Gram Parsons, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Delaney and Bonnie, Robert Johnson as well as others, all in an intimate café setting. Best of all, the event is free.
