X MARKS THE SPOT: The 60s comes roaring back to Philly with the 11th Hour Theatre Company’s performance of “Avenue X.” Set in 1963, “Avenue X” tells the tale of two young doo-wop singers. Their goal of playing at the legendary Fox Theater is almost destroyed because one of the men is white and the other is black. This emotionally riveting play deals with the issue of racism and how music can be used to over come it. The show starts at 7 p.m. at The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theater and tickets only cost $11 when you buy on the 11th Hour Web site.

JAZZ FINGERS: Head down to World Café Live to see jazz/pop guitarist and singer Kate Schutt. Winner of the 2007 John Lennon songwriting competition and a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Schutt was raised locally in Chadds Ford before moving to Canada. The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are just $10. Get more details by calling 215.222.1400.

GET FAMOUS: Here's your chance to get in the spotlight. No cover, a bunch of comics performing, plus a slew of drink specials is great but you'll also get a chance to be on TV at The Lickety Split Music Lounge and Bar. The entire evening will be filmed to try to pitch a new type of reality TV, so bring your A-game. The fun starts at 9 p.m. and lasts until 2 a.m. You have to be 21 or older to get in. For details, head to their Web site.
