Saturday:

NO SHIRTS, NO SHOES, NO PROBLEM: The South comes North when country boy Kenny Chesney plays at the Susquehanna Bank Center. Of Chesney’s 13 albums, 11 are certified gold or higher and have produced more than 30 Top 10 singles. The concert starts at 4 p.m. and tickets start at $25. For more information, or to purchase tickets, head to the Ticketmaster Web site.

IN THE NAVY: See what it’s like to be a sailor when you spend a night aboard the Battleship New Jersey for the “Battleship Blast Overnight Encampment.” Eat dinner and breakfast in the Mess Hall, get a tour of the ship, ride in the 4D Flight Simulator and sleep in bunks just like the crew of the USS New Jersey once did. Plus, you get the best view for the fireworks show. The overnight starts at 4 p.m. and tickets are $60.95. For more information, call 866.877.626 x203.

TERRIFIC TRINKETS: The largest outdoors art and craft show in the Delaware Valley, the Manayunk Arts Festival is among the highest ranked arts festivals in the country. The festival features the artwork of more than 260 local and national artists who will showcase a variety of their work including jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, photography, painting and glass. Tickets are free and the fair starts at 11 a.m. on Main Street.

Sunday:

CLASS, CLASS, CLASS: Get your sophistication on when you head down to Loie in Center City for their champagne brunch. For just $25 you get two courses along with your choice of bottomless Bloody Marys, Mimosas or a bottle of champagne. Brunch runs from 11.a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 215.568.0808.

SUNDAY, BLOODY SUNDAY: There is no better way to kick off a Sunday-Funday than by heading to Ray’s Bar on Passyunk for the “Bloody Mary Smackdown.” Bartenders from all over Philly will bring their best stuff to compete for prizes and to have the honor of being this year’s winner. Last year's winners will judge this year's competition. The smackdown is free and runs from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. – more than enough time to sober up for work tomorrow.

PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE: The weather has cooped us up long enough. Go spend some quality time outside on the Schuylkill at Canal Day at St. Michael’s Park in Monte Clare. With a five-and-a-half-mile trail run, two-mile loop walk, canoe/kayak races, an art show and street theatre, there is something for everyone. Plus if you have any offspring, there will be face painting, kid friendly games and craft making all day. The day starts at 9 a.m. and parking is free.
