The Get Up Kids: See The Get Up Kids, Kevin Devine and The Life & Times tonight at the Troc. Recently reunited, The Get Up Kids will perform some of their 90’s hits as well as new songs from their fifth studio album. Singer-songwriter Kevin Devine will put a political twist on the night with his acoustic melodies and indie sound. Bringing down the house with more of a rock sound, see The Life & Times. Jim Florentine: You may recognize his voice as Special Ed or Bobby Fletcher from Comedy Central’s Crank Yankers, but Jim Florentine will be starring as himself tonight at Helium. Florentine has also made appearances on NBC’s The Apprentice, HBO’s Inside the NFL and The Howard Stern Show. With a series of comedy cd’s both as a crank caller and not, Florentine is hilarious no matter what he’s doing. Bring your friends out for a guaranteed night of laughs.
