Pearl Jam: See Seattle rockers, Pearl Jam, bring down the house tonight at the Spectrum. Exploding on the scene at the same time as Nirvana, this grunge/alternative rock group has been together for almost two decades. They’ve sold over 30 million records with such hits like “Jeremy,” “Daughter” and “Last Kiss.” Come see all the classics performed as well as some new ones from their  ninth studio album, Backspacer. This Saturday will mark their last performance of the week as well as last show at the Spectrum before they bring on the wrecking ball. Wachovia Spectrum, 3601 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19145, $77, 7:30 p.m.

Five for Fighting: From 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at World Café Live sip on their $2 Bud Light bottles, $3 Magic Hat pints, $4 house wine and $5 cocktails. Wine fans can also try three selected wines for only $8 and munch on DiBruno Brother’s cheese plates. If you’re a Five for Fighting fan and have tickets to their sold out show, stick around to see them to rock the house at 7:30 p.m. They will be performing new material from their album Slice along with a few songs you may know such as “Superman” and “100 years.” World Café Live, 3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19104, $30, 5 p.m., 7:30 p.m.

Battle of the Bands: If your band is a professional cover band or can play a few good classics, tonight is for you. It’s battle of the cover bands tonight at Whiskey Tango. Grab a few drinks and rock out on stage with specials like $2.50 Miller Lite bottle and $3 Southern Comfort shots. Pizza, wings, nachos and more will be served all night long. Bring your friends and see some of Philly’s best go head to head. Whiskey Tango, 1400 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa. 19116, +21, Free, 9 p.m.
