This fifth generation Philly favorite is a one-man, one-brick-oven operation that makes each pizza pie fresh and to order. Its history goes back to 1946 when Italy-born Giovanni Tacconelli decided to use his Philly bread-baking oven to make delicious pizza. But don’t expect it to be delivered to your doorstep. Sit in and bring your own wine or beer, or carry out the popular pies. The pizza is so good, they recommend that you call ahead and reserve your dough.
