-Rapper Nas and his wife, Kelis (of "Milkshake" fame) are expecting their first child together. No word on when she's due.

-Jennifer Hudson is set to sing the national anthem at Super Bowl XLIII on February 1.

-Jen Garner and Ben Affleck revealed the name of their new little girl to People Magazine. Ready for this one? Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck.

-Geez, don't people in Hollywood know that variety shows haven't been successful for quite a while now?! I guess it doesn't matter, because now John Mayer is set to shoot a pilot for a CBS variety show. Yea, can't wait.

-Speaking of shows we're over, American Idol premiered last night and ratings were down 10% from last year's premiere. It did, however, manage to kick ass in it's time slot, coming in at numero uno.
